 State music conservatory of Uzbekistan holds four concert halls — Grand Hall, Organ Hall, Small Hall, and Chamber Hall, in which the music of various styles, schools and epochs is performed — everything from classical to modern music. Repertoire includes performances by National symphony orchestra of Uzbekistan, chamber symphonic orchestra “Turkiston”, chamber orchestra “Soloists of Uzbekistan”, and chamber orchestra of traditional Uzbek musical instruments of Uzbek State Television and Radio Company. The music conservatory hosts concert tours of foreign performers, including those whose names are widely recognized around the world, such as “Virtuosos of Moscow” by V. Spivakov, “Kremerata” orchestra by Gidon Kremer, and French trio “Silver flute”. This music conservatory hosts performances by: Musical theatre-studio orchestra and chorus, ensemble of makomists (Makoma — classical Uzbek music), student musical groups — symphony orchestra, jazz band, drummers ensemble, string quartet, orchestra of traditional Uzbek musical instruments. State music conservatory of Uzbekistan actively participates in joint cultural events with foreign musicians, musical organizations and embassies of foreign countries. The conservatory acts as one of collaborators and sponsors of international festivals of symphony music — Ilkhom-XX. |
